  1. She knew about Marilyn and many more.

  2. She absolutely knew, not only about Monroe, but about numerous other flings her husband had. It is a well-founded rumor that Joe Kennedy (JFK's father) paid her $1,000,000 not to divorce him and thereby ruin his political aspirations.

According to many sources, Jackie actually met with Monroe face to face in a hotel suite at the Pierre Hotel in New York to hash out the problem, as it was becoming public knowledge, but nothing positive came of the meeting, as Monroe was convinced she would become the next First Lady.

When the Democratic National Committee asked Monroe to sing her famous rendition of "Happy Birthday" to the President at Madison Square Garden, Jackie refused to attend and instead stayed in the Virginia countryside with her children rather than being publicly humiliated in front of thousands of people.

Incidentally, almost the entire Kennedy family also knew of the affair. A letter exists from his sister Jean to Marilyn in which she says she has heard that her brother and Marilyn "are the new item."

  3. just as Hilary knew about the dozens of affairs Bill had......but as the other poster said, kept quiet 'cause he was her ticket to the White House

  4. Probably. She did the political wife thing and acted like the happy wife. Sometimes that just comes with the job of being married to a powerful figure. She got to be first lady and live the high life and he got to have fun on the side. Win/Win.
