  1. Amen, brother!!!

  2. He was checking to see if the man recognized his authority. At 18hr mark you are on the right track.

  3. I see this links with these verses in the scriptures  :

John 14:6 ....... Jesus saith unto Him, I Am the way, the Truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. If ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also : and from henceforth ye know Him, AND HAVE SEEN Him.

    No, He didn't.

1st. Timothy 3:16 ....... And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness : God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory...

  4. He was reasoning with them as He had done so many times before.Like when they asked to see the Father and he said "Have you been with me so long and yet ask to see the Father 'If you have seen me you have seen the Father"And "Why do you call me good only one is good that is the Father". Was he saying He was God? Of course He certainly wasn't saying He was not good.If He was not good how could His sacrifice do anything for us of course He was good and of course He was teaching them who He was.And of course if you read the bible as written you will be apostate.I know that is what Paul implyed  Timothy when he said "All scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching reproving and setting things straight that the disciplined man of God might be fully competent and completely equipped for every good work."I'm sure he just accidentally left out some very important things about bible aids and helps etc to complete the bible where we lesser sheep could not understand. We after all are not able to understand with just the Holy Spirit guiding us since we do not have the Holy Spirit.

  5. Only those who recognize Jesus as God have the right to call Him good.

Obviosly the ruler that called Jesus "Good Teacher' did not believe in God and that is why Jesus replied saying, "If you don't believe I'm God, then why are you calling me in a way that  applies to God alone."

  6. This is the conversation that was going on.

Luke 18:18 And a certain ruler questioned him, saying: “Good Teacher, by doing what shall I inherit everlasting life?” 19 Jesus said to him: “Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.

The ruler was using a flattering term, which Jesus saw through, and wasn't going set himself as the standard of good. God is the primary example and standard for Good,

  7. Exactly, He was giving us another hint at who He is; the Word made flesh.

  8. It's just a parable.  Jesus wanted us all to know that he was not doing what he wanted, but the work of God.  He did what the Father asked him to do with no hesitation.  When Jesus said to him, Why do you call me good?  No one is good except God alone.  He wanted mankind to realize that it is God who is good, that it is God we should give thanks to, not man.

  9. he was saying   I am  God.  you call me  good because  you recognize I am God.

  10. yes this is true...and he said in several places that he is not god like" I on my own can do nothing, i do wht my father wants"......

there is not a single statement in bible where jesus clearly claims to be god(the words written in red in bible are considered to be said by jesus....and rest is impurity)

  11. There is only One that is Good that is the Father,

And Since the Father and Son are ONE in the SAME

well , I think you know what that means?

So no he did not say he was not Good.
