Question:

Did John McCain Picking Sarah Palin as His Running Mate Change Your Mind About Voting For Him?

I personally think she was a bad choice.

She has 5 kids, the youngest not even a year old with Down Syndrome; I keep wondering who is going to take care of her children. She is pro-life, which most likely does not sit well with most feminists. This would be a problem because I assume John McCain's intention of picking her a vp was to get women voters. She's only on her 2nd term of governing.

And if John McCain won the election and dies during his presidency, (which is, let's be realistic and face it, pretty likely considering his medical conditions,) she would be our president. For those of you who think Obama isn't experienced, she's not much more experienced than him.

But that's my input.

What do you think about McCain's decision?

  1. I sure did. I used to think it would be unwise to vote for him, now I think it would be totally insane!

  2. But the VP doesn't do anything.  She'll run the White House daycare.  I do think it was a bad move for in case he dies.  But I worry just as much about Obama dieing from all those racist pigs out there.

  3. No , I would never vote for a senile old man who thinks a less experienced politician then Obama would be capable of running the country.

  4. I think it was a poor choice.  I am still supporting the libertarian party though and I still could not support Obama.

  5. go angry g*y guy woop wooop

i wasnt voting for him b4 and im still not cuz this was a desperate atempt for votes

and hes trying to make us guilty cuz she has a kid with down syndrome

  6. I think it has the Obama liberals running scared, and showed the fiscalcons, neocons, and RINO's, the Christian Right still controls the Republican party. BABIES, GUNS, and JESUS FOREVER

  7. It did.  Obama almost had me.

And this democrat is not pro-choice.  The abortion stance is the most disgusting part of the democratic party.

  8. No, I was going to vote for him even if he had chosen someone else.

    McCain rocks!

    McCain in '08

  9. It only RECONFIRMED my decision to vote REPUBLICAN

  10. I was undecided about who I was going to vote for until he picked her. Now, he has my vote. I like that she is pro-choice (I'm a feminist, by the way), I like what she has done for Alaska (going after oil ex. and finding new incomes), she is for the death penalty, I like that. And, she has 5 kids. I know many parents who can't pull off what she has with only one kid, so, she's pretty good at multitasking. Due to the condition of her son, she understands health care. She has also had some odd jobs prior to getting into politics, so she understands the working person. She has an 80% approval rating in her state, that's from both parties, so, she is doing something right. So far, I haven't heard anything about her that I don't like.

And no, I'm not voting that way because she is a woman (I hated Hilliary), I'm voting that way because McCain and Palin agree more with my thought process then Obama.

  11. It has made me far less likely to vote for him. I am niether a democrat or a republican, but after the convention, I was actually leaning a little towards mccain. Until he chose her. Now, the problem is - should he not live through his term, which is certainly a realistic possibility we will have someone who once governed an iceberg for a little while running the country. Doesn't seem like a safe idea to me.

  12. Yes it did.

And your input is irrelevant in making my decision.

  13. It FIRE up the core conservatives!   You are missing that HUGE part of the picture. It was a stroke of genius.

  14. No maybe she can open up a fashion house in Washington and bring day care into the building too...that way she can change diapers between meetings and we can have tea and chat about women's matters.

s*x in the City here we come!!

Just don't get us crazy women drunk...you have no idea how mean we are with a gun in hand.  Ripping off a moose head must be the greatest feeling in the world!!!  ARRRGHH!!!!

Frick...I feel my monthly headache coming on...WHERE'S MY MOTRIN!!!?!?!?!?!

  15. To change my mind, no.  To change those people sitting in the middle, most likely.

  16. His ticket now sure looks a lot more balanced and stronger to me.

  17. Of course not. It's a desperate gimmick pick, for the reasons you stated.

  18. i belive she is up to the task.  I was a republican before and i still am.  I dont think that McCain would ever pick a unqualified person to possibly run the country after he put his life on the line in veitnam to protect it.

  19. What Presidential candidate that makes his own decisions picks a VP after meeting her once or twice. I don't think it was his decision. He's getting alot of advice from Bush and Rove and they told him to pick her. There's something going on we don't know about, but will surface eventually, after the media gets done with this whole propaganda issue.

  20. definately shored it up.

  21. It didn't change my mind because I wasn't voting for him anyway. It did change my mind about his judgment, though. If he meets with Palin for only about an hour and a half and then picks her as his VP, he cannot be trusted to make wise and thoughtful decisions that will affect every American. It was a pandering and reckless choice.

  22. His decision to chose her, given that there were plenty other Republican women candidates of higher stature (Condi Rice, Christine Whittman), brings more questions concerning his judgment.  Once the wow factor of republican nominating woman to the VP spot wears off, there are going to be serious doubts about this particular candidate.

  23. It didn't change my opinion about him at all, considering I have never liked him. McCain is viewed as a hypocrite (he is) because he bashed Obama for not having experience, yet Palin has hardly any (less than Obama, or the same if you're very generous). He did it to try to persuade voters for Hillary to leave the Democrats and vote for him--thankfully people are not dumb enough to fall for it.

  24. He is a hypocrite.  How dare he criticize Obama for being "too inexperienced" for the job, then choose someone who has absolutely NO experience in things such as foreign affairs?  If McCain wins the election, the whole country is going to be screwed.  & I won't feel sorry at all because the people decided to s***w themselves by voting for him (& that devil of a woman).

  25. I am a Hillary supporter, and McCains choice for VP is insulting to me.  It is a manipulative attempt at vote grabbing and an act of desperation.   That's not who I want as president or VP.

  26. i like his decision, but i dont think its gonna change mine or oter peoples mind...

  27. YES, it most definitely changed my mind about voting for him.  I wasn't going to vote at all.  I felt like McCain did not represent my values.  Now I will be the first in line to vote for McCain/Palin, as will 95% of values voters who had been disenfranchised until this point; as well as many women, democrat and republican, who would love to see a strong, intelligent woman in office. (IMO)

  28. I think that she is a smart, independent woman who during her years as governor has done wonders for the budget and educational reform in Alaska.

More than Former Picnic-Planner Obama could ever say =]

  29. i still dont know who im voting for, waiting for the debates.

  30. I never had any intention on voting for him.  But, I do think it was a bad move to pick a running mate who is younger than Obama and doesn't have much experience.

McCain's best selling point was the experience factor...now, given his new running mate...it is now no longer a feasible argument for his campaign.

He is pretty old and has had health issues...who wants Palin to be our president...not me!

  31. If not for this ethics investigaiton, I think I'd rather have seen the RNP appoint Palin as their presidential candidate with McCain as the VP on the ticket.
