Did John McCain dig his own political grave by choosing Palin?

I am NOT a Republican, but I feel like he sealed his fate by choosing her. No one seems to respect her. Also, she has a pregnant 17-year-old daughter and I for one am bothered by that. As a 16-year-old I think that it is a terrible representation of our country's teenagers if McCain-Palin gets elected. I'm not a s!ut and I feel like their families should represent the families of the U.S. We aren't all wh0res...I know that's not very nice, but it's true.

What do you think?

  1. Yes, and he should encourage her to resign and choose someone like Romney.

How can a woman who has a 4 month old down syndrome baby and a grandchild coming in a couple months have enough time for a presidential campaign?

Also, Palin's daughter is a great example of abstinence only educations failure, something Palin supports.

Disregarding even those points, Palin also only has 2 years of experience as governor and some years as mayor of a tiny town. Her only college education is a BA in communications-journalism from the University of Idaho.

    She's an awful VP candidate.

  2. It's pretty obvious, given the fact that Obama is only ahead in the polls by the standard deviation when he should be ahead right now by the same margin the Jamaican was ahead in the 100-Meter Dash in Beijing, that McCain indeed dug Obama's political grave rather than his own when he selected Palin as his running mate.

  3. McCain will win. There is going to be a backlash because of the liberals treatment of Palin's daughter. Never before have the children of political candidate been so targeted. It is one thing to talk about McCain or Obama, but for the media and liberals to attack this young girl is outrageous.

We don't know that this girl is a **** either. People make mistakes. It doesn't make it right or ok, but we also have to be able to forgive and give people a chance. You will probably make some big mistakes in your life and you will want people to treat you with respect and forgiveness.

  4. You are absolutely correct. They are sooo done

  5. yeah he did. Eskimo, who hes only met once.. if he dies in office we'l have her as president....good grief, lets not come to that. In conclusion Repubs all wack off to eskimos and karabu

    OBAMA08

  6. This is just more GOP hypocrisy...that's all they're good for.

  7. The polls won't react until after the convention. Too much up in the air.

But I would say he did some serious damage.

The question is...did he see it coming or do it on purpose?

Is there some BIGGER scandal or plot that is not being looked at because the press is preoccupied with Palin?

I don't trust Republicans, and particularly Neocons, any further than I can throw one.

And...something about this campaign REALLY STINKS.

  8. I think we need to leave the families out of it completely and look at the candidates. Choosing a president shouldn't be who's the most like you.. it's who can be the leader of the free world.

  9. No

  10. YES. I voted Republican in the past but now have embraced the Libertarian Party for my support.

  11. yes

  12. I respect her.  Her daughter is not running.  It's strange, but liberals only seem to respect women if they walk in lock step with them.  Even though,I'm Republican I respected Sen Clinton .

  13. The only thing I see wrong with Sarah Palin is that believes the creationist myth, is anti-abortion and shoot polar bears.  She seems to have been a very effective governor with probably the highest approval rating by her constituents than anyone.

  14. I think a lot of teenagers from very good families s***w up.  I know several that did, including one from my own family.  It is not a reflection of her mother or her mother's values and her mother should not be penalized because her daughter blew it.  They are a normal family with normal problems.  They are making the best of a bad situation.

It's not reasonable to expect candidates to have perfect lives - and as they say, he who casts the first stone........
