... by selecting a woman who nobody knows for VP and who has no record on the economy to date? What was he thinking? Or can he think anymore at all?

I hope this choice of VP is just one more reason people see that he's clueless, out of touch, and totally unprepared to be President.

PS:  I know who she is and you can kiss any sound environmental policies goodbye with her influence on a cabinet.  Her environmental track record in Alaska is appalling.

Not at all.  He is bringing a young fresh voice to the party with conservative credentials.  And, the Dems have a young fresh voice in Obama.  So, if you are going to criticize Palin you must also criticize Obama.

She has less than 2 years experience as a governor of a very remote sparsely populated state.  

She is anti-choice and anti-g*y rights.  That will keep the Hillary supporters away!  She is for drilling in the Arctic, that will keep environmentalist away, she has no experience at governing, that will keep everyone else away.

If McCain wanted to pick a woman to attract the Hillary supporters, why didn't he pick Kay Bailey Hutchinson?

Anyone who thinks Obama is all flash just doesn't understand the nature of presidential power.  Its not about expanding constitutional executive power, its about the bully pulpit.  Only great speakers can be great presidents.  The only exception to that in our history is Washington, who is largely great for willingly leaving office.
