Even if he was unstable from his POW years, does that really give him an excuse?

  1. I can only guess, and my guess is: Both, money is probably the main reason. But, as I said, I wouldn't ask Mr. or the rich Mrs. McCain themselves, because-for obvious reasons I can't be sure they would be telling the truth.

  2. Wow...look at these Cons answers! So much for the old family values crowd.

Cindy McCain stole a crippled woman's husband and robbed the McCain children of their father. Lovely woman(snicker)

  3. How are we supposed to know?  I can't get inside the man's head.

  4. that's their business and this is really old.

your link states - She supports her ex-husband's 2008 presidential campaign, and told The Mail on Sunday in June 2008 that she was not bitter and that, "He’s a good guy. We are still good friends. He is the best man for president."

  5. I don't really care that he got divorced. What I find annoying is that he tries to promote family values when he left his crippled wife for a young, rich, beer heiress.

  6. His first wife has already stated their marriage was falling apart before he ever got back from the war.

You Obama supporters sure are getting desperate

The funny thing is you same people had no problem with kerry divorcing his wife and marrying Ms Heinz who makes Cindy look poor.

  7. What do you want the man to say? If you read your link, you will find out that McCain took full responsibility for the breakup of the marriage:

"John McCain would later say, "My marriage's collapse was attributable to my own selfishness and immaturity more than it was to Vietnam, and I cannot escape blame by pointing a finger at the war. The blame was entirely mine."

Sounds like a pretty stand up answer.

  8. I'm sure it was a bipartisan choice to go after both youth and money.

  9. He stayed with his first wife till she got on her feet and could walk again.  I think about 6 years after he got home.  He has payed her monthly since they broke up.  He was separated from Carol for 6 months before he met Cindy in Hawaii.  They grew apart during his five year absence.  It was 30 years ago.  Give it a break!  If his first wife stills thinks he is a fine man why should others make it their business?

  10. Whatever his reasons it's so far in the past. He's not proud of it and has apologized on his own for it. He's been faithful to his second wife and has  done a lot for the country. Other politicians have had bad marriage problems but have gotten thru it.

  11. Definitely the money. You see, he didn't have any money for 5 and a half years when he was at the Hanoi Hilton so he was grateful for the chance to "marry up" from a cripple to a wealthy woman in search of a damaged sugar-daddy.

  12. 51% of married couples get divorced.  Who cares.

  13. No, love and loyalty; Cindy MCCain traits.

  14. Yes, and regardless of some of the revisionist apologist answers you received.

    He committed adultery.

    He has admitted it.

He is worse than Clinton, since he left his family as well.
