Did Jonathan Horton put honey on his hands?

Question

Did Jonathan Horton put honey on his hands before putting on chalk during the individuals? In one shot it looked like a jar of honey by the chalk stand, and then he bent down and it looked like he put something on them and then rubbed them together and put them in the chalk. Did any one else see that?

Yeah I saw that too!  A lot of gymnasts do that to make the chalk stick better.  Who would of thought?

no but i did see some jars of honey near the chalk...so he probably did put honey on his hands to make the chalk stick better.
