  1. It's interesting that you're studying these two rulers in what appears to be some sort of comparison; Hatshepsut came from a long line of interesting and awesome rulers such as Sequenenre Tao 1 and 2, Kamose/Ahmose,  Thutmose 2 and 3 and Amenhotep 2 whilst King Tut didn't do much except for get to the throne and then die. In fact, he would barely be remembered were it not for the fact that his tomb managed to somehow escape being looted. Hatshepsut rocked; during her reign, the country was rich, prosperous, and full of great building projects. She was a pretty sassy lady, and despite what some historians say, she did do some military stuff too.

It's worth noting that during her rule (post-regency), Hatshepsut changed her name to "Ma'at Kare"; call her that in your assignment for extra points.

  5. No, Queen Hatshepsut was the sixth pharaoh, while King Tut was the thirteenths pharaoh. However, both pharaohs ruled during the same eighteenth dynasty of Ancient Egypt. Hatshepsut was a co-regent from about 1479 to 1458 BC, 122 years before King Tut’s birth in 1336 BC. The eighteenth dynasty also know as the New Kingdom. It is the period covering the Eighteenth, Nineteenth, and twentieth dynasty of Egypt, from the 16th century BC to the 11th century BC.

  7. Hatshepsut was the fifth pharaoh of the eighteenth dynasty of Ancient Egypt. She is generally regarded by Egyptologists as one of the most successful pharaohs, reigning longer than any other woman of an indigenous Egyptian dynasty.

Tutankhamun (1341 BC – 1323 BC) was a Pharaoh of the Eighteenth dynasty (ruled 1333 BC – 1322 BC in the conventional chronology), during the period of Egyptian history known as the New Kingdom.
