Did Kyle Busch overperform in the 5 car?

Question

Kyle made the chase the past two season and finished 5th last year in points. Now Casey is about 20th in points. Is this the same car as last year? Kyle won the first cot race in that car last year and I am wondering if its the same equipment as Kyle had last year.

Wow thats a really good question. I think alot of Caseys problems have been just bad luck, and Kyle didn't do that bad when he was at Hendrick.

No. Hendrick has always had a car that didn't perform near as well as the rest of them. It was Brian Vickers in the 25, then Casey in the 25. Now JR is in Kyles old equiptment and Casey is still in the same stuff. They just changed a few crew members and the number. They basically put the #5 on the 25 car.

Seriously...I can't wait to see if Casey just takes right off next year when not with Hendrick.  Well that is if he gets a ride.

casey mears sucks, yes, if that's what yolu're asking. junior took over the 25 car mears drove to about 20th in points last year, changed the # to 88, and has it running up front every week and 2nd in points. so it's not that busch or junior over performed in those cars, it's that mears under performed in them.

Not the same equipment. Jr is in the stuff that used to be the #5 last year. Casey Mears is in new rides and a couple of the old #25 cars he drove last year. They just switched the numbers.

I just wish I could remember where I read that. I'll try to find the article and post a link.

I don't think Kyle over-perfomed as much as Casey is under-performing this season. I think he'll do better the second half of the season, though.

kyle is a lot more talented than casey.

Jr got the #5 team equipment...but even I, as a staunch Klye Buchs detractor, can say that Kyle is more talented than CAsey Mears ever dreamed of being.

Mark it on the calendars guys, I said a positive thing about the little shurbhead.
