  1. Kyle saw the light.

  2. Kyle saw the light. He saw he could not win the Nationwide or truck championships so he quit.

  3. Mr. Gibbs I'm sure had a little conversation with him....as in cut that c**p out. Now.

  4. kyle saw the light himself, although that might have been coming from stars flashing around his head after he smacked the wall last week in the nationwide race. not only that, he did it in a totally cool way - he came out and complimented another driver in the process, by saying that clint bowyer is such a consistent driver that he would be near impossible to catch.  he's already proven he can win and lead multiple series at once, and it was always a question of whether or not he could actually compete for multiple championships.  all those who consistently complain about his ego and arrogance should recognize a bit of humility when it is shown.

as for hornaday/harvick convincing him of anything, i think not.  he and harvick have had a running feud for years and the only result of that is harvick has fallen farther and farther behind busch. moreover, kyle's still slotted to race multiple series when the races are at the same track.  he still wants to see billy balew win the truck owner's points championship. he had no real stake in the nationwide series UNLESS it was clear he could contend, and as i stated above, he recognizes bowyer's talent and lead in the series and let it go.

  5. You know I saw that he was fatigued by Sunday....yet I was pulling for him to pull it off. Can you imagine one person winning all three races??? What a record breaker that would be.  Maybe he was trying for that.  He saw the light himself.

Kyle tried it...found it wasn't a good idea after all but I give him so much credit for attempting it!!

  6. Well give the guy some credit, he tried. And he  also realized that he can't do all three.  The sprint is more important and he should concentrate on that.

  7. One of the qualifying commentators said today that when he realized he could not win the championship in the truck or Nationwide series, he decided to concentrate completely on the Sprint Cup championship.

  8. Poor Kyle did qualify poorly today. I am more worried over Tony who hasn't had any good luck this year. Kyle can afford a race or two but Tony can't.

  9. No matter what any article says or Busch or Gibbs says, the body can only take so much. Lack of rest is worse than drugs. Your body can build up a resistance to drugs but not to lack of rest.

I think it was having an effect on him even though Gibbs says it wasn't. You could see a difference in his performance here lately.

  10. apparently Clint Bowyer showed him where the light switch was
