Did Kyle tell everyone he was unhappy with Rick and was looking at the possibilities of getting a new team? After that was it when Rick hired Dale Jr?

  1. no rick fired him for dale jr. he made a mistake but kyle is winning alot this year=]

  2. I have read what Richard S ^ stated. But, I also think Steevo threw in some good points. You don't just pout like a baby and go home when you have a wrecked car and there are owner points to be gained, sponsors to satisfy etc. It should have been of no surprise to anybody that HMS canned his ***.

  3. Yes he did. Kyles crying only prompted Mr. Rick to boot his butt on out of there. He should have lept his mouth shut.

  4. nope. they let Kyle go when Hendrick signed Jr.  (someone correct me on this if i'm wrong will ya?)

  5. he'd been crying about stuff since he got there!!!!!!!!!!!!

    wwaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  6. Well the " official" stories that the tv and yahoo.sports guys have related goes like this. There was some tension among the team, with kyle's, and the team's lack of performance. They weren't happy with him leaving Texas so fast. And contract negotiations weren't going well. Along comes Jr., and his decision to leave DEI. But even then Hendrick says he was committed to Kyle. So then the stories start traveling through the garage grapevine that Kyle's agent is talking to other teams, and shopping his driver around. That supposedly didn't sit to well with Hendrick, the idea that he was working to keep Kyle, and Kyle was working to get away. So he pulled the trigger and made the switch while Jr, was still on the market. In Kyle's defense, he says he had no idea that his agent was working behind the scenes with other teams. He even fired the guy,and got a whole new rep. team. But it seems the damage had been done.

  7. No he didn't.

Rick did an underhand move and got rid of Kyle after releasing a press statement saying it was a mutual agreement.

Then later on Kyle said that Rick actually released him and Kyle hadn't had time to look at any teams. Rick was just greedy and wanted to make way for Jr. as quick as he could. That's how Rick is.

  8. Who knows but regardless he was obviously unhappy there.  We all remember the bashing of his team after the Daytona nightrace.  Its a deal that worked out for both parties and Dale Jr. for that matter.  Now that he's got cars that don't blow engines left, right, and center he's having a pretty decent year.  And I don't think we need to comment on how Kyle's doing.

  9. Last season they told that Kyles agent had in fact been talking to other teams. Kyle claims he didn't know the agent was doing this and had done so without being told to do so. Rick Hendrick was apparently pretty mad about this. Between this, Kyles bad attitude (which I liked, not saying that as a bad thing) and Rick seeing his chance at siging Jr - Kyle had to go.

    and he hasn't stopped yet...

  10. I don't think that is how it went.  Last year Rick hadn't decided what to do with the 5 car but then a few things happened to solidify his decision.  First, Kyle won the first COT race ever, at Bristol, and just blasted the COT and NASCAR in victory lane.  Then, a couple weeks later he caused the wreck at Texas, involving Jr, that put his car in the garage for repairs.  Kyle took his marbles and went home (he left the track) and then they got the 5 car repaired enough to run some more laps.  That's when Jr. got the OK to finish the race in Kyle's car.  Rick was getting pretty frustrated with Shrub's lack of respect and professionalism and Jr. became available.  Rick did not take long to give Jr what he wanted.  I do believe that Kyle was let go, though the official announcement was that it was a mutual agreement.  I don't think Kyle had been talking to other owners at that time but who knows?

  11. He was disgruntled and signing Jr. was the perfect reason to let him go. I think he even asked to be released but Hendrick wouldn't have done that escept that he got Jr.

  12. I don't think Mr. H liked the little Bouche

  13. no, ok. rick fired kyle because he was tearing up cars and he got jr. in the seat because jr.'s contract ended and DEI didn't give him 51% ownership so he left. Hendrick picked him up.
