  1. Rock first, then country.

As a member of the Stone Ponies, she brought country to rock, then after a long mainstream rock career brought it back full circle whn she teamed up with Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris.

  2. Without question, rock and roll.  Much like her one-time backing band, the Eagles, she had a few songs that were country, but her primary forte was rock and roll.  Her version of "Rescue Me" cannot even be remotely considered country, not even by today's watered-down standards.

That woman had -- and still has, last I heard her sing -- one of the most remarkable voices, and she deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  But NOT the Country one.

  3. Definitely rock.

  4. I Liked her as Rock and i liked her doing the song "Tumbling Dice" it suit her voice so good, but she sang anything good

  5. On rock.  She brought country sounds to those of us in the rock world in the 70s (as did many others before and after her), not vice versa. I don't think, though she recorded some nice music later on (some neither rock nor country), that she had much of an impact on the music world later on.
