Did Max and Logan ever end up together after Dark Angel went off the air?

Question

OK...so I've recently watched both seasons of James Cameron's Dark Angel and it is obvious at the end of the 2nd Season that there should have been a 3rd (or more.) So I was wondering if there were any books that pick up where the TV series left off that could answer all those unanswered questions.

They came up with a book trilogy that's a spin off of the show.
