It seems he wanted to rally the ultra right, ...but can the ultra right win an election in 2008...if so...why didn't Romney or Huckabee win the nomination?

  1. It was not for the ultra right. He thought it would make us happy. Instead it just made me mad. He lost my vote.

    Barr 2008

    Romney 2016

  2. He won my vote!

  3. No. He chose someone who is unknown, unqualified with little experience. So it hurt him.

  4. Romney would have been the most logical and tactical choice and the reason why he didn't is beyond me.  Romney would have brought more hard core Republicans that would not vote for him because he was a left wing Republican which would have been a big boost for McCain, and I as a Democrat would have been al ittle worried.  The reason I think he chose Palin was because he is trying to drive a wedge between Clinton voters and Obama.  Being a women, she would appeal to those votes that are really upset that Clinton didn't win and could potentially draw them to the Republican side.  All in all, it doesn't really matter because Obama's going to win anyways.

  5. no i dont think it helped him at all by picking a token woman for vp and thats all she is is a token   he thinks by picking a woman that all the hillary supporters are gonna just wet themselves with joy and come running over there to vote for him. well he might get some poor misguided souls that will vote for him for that reason but i have much more faith in my fellow women to not be fooled into falling for it.obama was right when he said mccain dont get it cuz he dont   us hillary supporters didnt support her just because she was a woman we supported her because she was a woman who could do the job! im sry but gov.palin maybe a smart woman and may have done alot of worthwhile things but i doubt seriously she could fill half the shoes hillary could as president and lets face it  she would eventually have to fill those shoes cuz mccain is like 1000 years old and im sure somewhere in the next 4 years he gonna have to turn the reins over to her due to some kind of health emergency. i know i wouldnt want her in charge as president

  6. It helped him with his endorsement of Viagra :>  and..on top of that...she won't make him use any type of birth control!

  7. I think anymore America is split down the middle and ultra right and ultra left just don't work for many people. I am a libertarian I have noticed that when I bring up the libertarian party a lot of people really seem to like it, but they will vote democratic or republican. I don't know why this is. I guess they just don't know what they want.

  8. No it hurt him no one that was for Hillary will vote for her way too right wing ... nothing will help McCain at this point he is old and out of touch with 90% of Americans and has the same ol same ol politics stance ... and look where that got us... I would have voted for Ron Paul... but since he's out Obama all the way

  9. Yes, she will put McCain over the top.  Sarah Palin was one of McCain's best decisions.  She will be one of the most popular VP's in history and will certainly be in line to run for president after the McCain Administration.

  10. Because that's not what it is all about.

It's about them, them, them and not the American public.

It's fashionable to be "President" and cause death and taxes

and smirk in the American public's face.

  11. His pick convinced me that he is on top of his game plan and I am now ready to trust him. If he had picked someone else, I might have voted for mickey mouse.

  12. That would have made sense.  McCain instead thought that choosing Palin would cause a whole new buzz.  It did for a bit, but I think it was a bad choice.

  13. I don't think so!

I am sure that Romney and Pawlenty are pretty upset!

  14. It may help him bring more votes from the ultra right and also it may help win over some moderates who appreciate that he picked a women and wary of voting for Obama.  But I don't know if those people were really going to vote for Obama at the end of the day.  So, I guess my answer is maybe.

Her inexperience may not soothe the concerns of people who worry about his age.

  15. HAHAHA no, McCain can't win. Obama is the perfect guy. He is going to save this country from oppression, eliminating the lower class and upper to make a complete middle class only by vastly expanding welfare policies, get rid of stupid greedy and evil oil companies, lower population growth, make peace throughout the world, advance affirmative action and create long awaited empathy for the black man

    VOTE OBAMA 08!

  16. Nope did nothing but give votes to Obama

  17. It sure helped with fundraising yesterday- donations were coming in faster than they could count them.

Palin appeals to several groups- working class voters, energy and oil voters, social conservatives, government reform voters. Her critics are so busy making sexist remarks, they probably will increase her appeal to moderate dems who might otherwise stay home.
