Well from the looks of it, he took the thunder from the bump Obama was to receive, and the people on here have made almost every question now, about it. Yes, he did what he intended to do and that is shift the ball into his court! Your thoughts?

  1. McCain does not have a chance in Hades. He has about the same chance of winning this election as Southerners have of seeing the Northern Lights. Obama is in this to win this

    Obama/Biden 08

  2. Well, if he didnt he sure did shake up the world and has got the Dems really thinking now about alot of thing especially this past week. God couldnt have chosen a better running mate himself. I bet even the Devil is laughing himself now too

  3. He made the right decision for democrats.

  4. No it just cost him the election>Just beyond dumb

  5. He picked her because she is a woman.

ONCE AGAIN the Republicans are banking on the stupididitityy of Americans to win this election! This pick is so SEE THROUGH!

  6. Well, first, a VP selection has never really been a big shift in momentum for a candidate, throughout history.  This coming week belongs to the republicans and they have to justify their VP selection by showing the people that Salin is ready for this responsibility, especially since the general public (and me) didn't hear about her until today.

Shifting the spotlight from Obama is not important...the GOP was going to do that with this convention anyway.  But they have to give a d**n good convention, otherwise Obama keeps what's important: momentum and a boost of support.  I am undecided on this selection, because I really don't know enough about Stalin to make a conclusion.  But in all honesty, neither of the VPs selected will improve any of the candidate's chance better then before because a VP isn't what voters typically vote on: it's the guy running for the big job.

This could help McCain, because his pick is indeed a woman.  But if she doesn't address the issues clearly and where she stands on them, people will think this pick was simply to steal Hillary voters.  We will find out soon enough.

  7. Her physical appearance has nothing to do with her life story. I think it was a great move for McCain. Just watch.

  8. I think Palin is hot. But I'm still not voting for McCain.

  9. I don't think he did, he should've picked Romney if he wanted a chance. He just gave the election to Obama

  10. Well he certainly did not pick the most qualified person.  Perhaps it is just pandering or perhaps he did not want a strong VP that he would have to deal with.  I think he has made a tactical mistake, I think this sews it up for Obama.

  11. It was the right decision only in terms of assuring that McCain will win at least one state--Alaska.

  12. A lot of the potential picks floating around didn't impress me.  I was holding out for Colin Powell, but that's more of a long shot than Obama winning the presidency (zing!).  I like the pick, good match for McCain w/ the maverick attitude.

  13. yep. Another nail in the Obama coffin. She's just as experiences as Obama and a good speaker, with or without the teleprompter.

  14. (1) let's get serious this show the lack of judgment on McCain part.(2)Palin is no Hillary  Clinton she only been a Governor for 2 years and we are talking about Alaska where the wild life out number the peoples 20 to 1.(3)  i would not feel comfortable having Palin running this  country in a case where  something happening to McCain  .3) Palin is under a  ethic investigation  .4) We know that Biden is ready to lead on day one if something ever happen to Obama. I personally think McCain just handed the presidency to OBAMA.
