If they did, I sure missed it. They talked a lot about drilling, hockey, terrorism, and the joys of unplanned pregnancy, but little else of substance.

  1. Yes, actually he did.  He didn't use the term global warming.  He was talking about clean energy and restoring the planets health.

  2. She talked about herself and he talked mostly about himself.

  3. McCain said "Education is the civil rights movement of this century".  If you think about it, it is going to take education to face the environmental issues isn't it?  If we can become a better educated country then we can deal with our problems in better ways.  When he was talking about reforming welfare he said he wanted to stop handing the unemployed money and instead equip them for jobs that "won't go away".  Those kind of jobs are in technology my friend, and where do you think the biggest growth in technology jobs is going to come from?  That's right from new energy technologies.  And how are we going to meet this challenge?  With education and a mobilized workforce.  That is how America has always met her challenges.  If all you heard was what you wrote above then you truly were not listening.

By the way they both mentioned "new clean energy technologies" in their speeches.  Palin said she wanted to get natural gas from Alaska to help us be less dependent on foreign oil WHILE WE DEVELOPED NEW TECHNOLOGIES.  Were you asleep during that part of her speech?

I know McCain's stance on many issues.  I didn't need a convention to know who he is.

  5. Actually they did. They talked about having enough energy to heat your house. And getting it any way you can until someone comes up with a better solution.

Now if someone (even an environmentalist) would come up with a good alternative to foreign oil I'd be all over it. But as long as environmentalists only tell me what I can't do and give me no good alternatives I'm going to keep burning fossil fuel and hope I don't freeze my rear off in the winter.

*LOL* Talk about little substance? Did you read Obama's speech? There was no substance at all.

  6. yes, when the ice melts it will be easier to drill for oil.

And warmer temp means beach front properties for Alaska.

  7. No, they just have to promise the evangelists they will get what they want and they feel thier job is done and who better than a war hero and a "hockey mother, moose hunting, guntoting, barracude" (to use McCains word if I got those right.)

  8. ok seriously How many times does mother nature have to prove Global Warming a hoax. I don't know how it is anywhere else, but right after Gore was whining about it we started to have record snowfall and now we only had 4 days over 90 which is very unusual. It is a hoax.

  9. Of coarse not!

    They are not buffoons.

I doubt if the fringe religion of "man made global warming" will ever win enough worshipers to permeate the party of Lincoln in any significant way.

We embrace truth, not fairy tales.

  10. Global warming is a hoax. Even the global warmer leaders agree the earth is get cooler.

  11. why should they? Global warming is a myth. It's a scam by Al Gore and his lib buddies so they can control more of your life. If AlGore truly believes we are in such danger, why does he have so many houses, cars, ride in limo's and private jets, etc? It's the "do as I say, not as I do" mentality that so many libs have....

  12. Why would they do that.  Neither believes in global warming.  Those hurricanes marching across the Atlantic one behind the other are just God's wrath. It is the scientific community's imagination that the glaciers have receded back miles.  Oh yes, and one of the biggest air polluters is the war in Iraq. Ah but the world wide scientific communities are not as smart or experienced as Alaska Barbie and Father Time.

  13. No, they did not.

  14. NOPE, He never even said Global warming, surely he didnt want to offend his VP Sarah Palin who does NOT even believe Global Warming is MAN MADE. Unbelievable to see ignorance coming from such high members of political parties. Does the environment not mean anything to these guys.. I was really disappointed when I hear that Global warming is not even a priority for these Republicans

    - for the people who say global warming is a hoax, your either really misguided, brainwashed, or really really stupid

-explain decrease in coral reefs, increase in avg temperature around the world, melting the ice caps, more floods, increase in sea levels. i can go on and on

  15. Well McCain said tonight he wanted to drill more, and build more nuclear plants,( I don't think thats a great idea.) and thermal, wind and coal energy.  Basically he just wants a lot more energy.  And last night Palin said to drill more and "clean" coal?
