Did Michael Phelps win 8 gold medals yet?

I thought Michael Phelps was racing for his eighth medal at 7:30 but then I forgot and didn't turn the TV on until 8. But no one is saying whether he did or didn't-not on the TV anyway...does anyone know if he did it or not?
