  1. Well, for me, it did help to make him a bit more human.  Whenever he is asked a question, he always seems to make a speech in response.  It is really weird.  Obama, would like you ketchup with that? Answer: Well,. most Americans think ketchup is good.  I have thought about ketchup before.... etc....

last night, he seemed to be a bit more down to earth.   i dont think i can get over the only 143 days of experience on the job though. I wouldn't even promote a new employee after that short amount of time on the job, nevermind make him the president of my company.  and here we are considering making him the president of the largest company on earth.  incredible.

  2. Actually it raised more doubts.  How they can continually re-invent themselves to appeal to a wider demographic amazes me.  Barrack especially, from Kenyan, to Indonesian, to Hawaiian, to college party animal, to Islam supporter, to Black Theology, to far-left most liberal congressman, to mainstream Christian, to typical middle class father and family man.....what's next.  Michelle just went two steps - from Black Liberation Theology opinionated belligerent woman to candidate for Mrs. America pageant.  Amazing.

  3. Let me say that this was the 1st I heard the major media mention the baby bump which has been obvious for a few months.

I think she a beautiful, well spoken woman, with a couple of beautiful daughters. I have no idea why she is so hateful.

I actually thought that she missed the opportunity to uplift her husband. I now "love" her dad, but was left with a chilling feeling that her relationship with Barry, is one of convenience.

This tells me that she feels he's a typical politician. She may have been witness to his soul-selling throughout his briefcareerr, most of which has been spent running for president.

  4. I liked Ms. Obama's speech, but I don't that that it would sway many people's opinions to vote FOR him.

On the contrary, if Ms. Obama said something stupid, it could sway people not to vote for her husband.

It is a weird situation....I know.  But truely think about it.

  5. All I kept thinking when I saw Obama's mother's face in the audience was; even she doesn't believe all this BS!

  6. I didn't watch it live and only caught bits and pieces of it on the morning news. The daughters were adorable and stole the show. In my opinion, it was just that, a vain attempt to present her as likable to the general public. You know us typical white people who make less then 250K a year! The problem with these exposes is that they are just that shows, charades, imitations of what they think will gain them votes. If a Democrat politician ever showed his or her true colors no one would vote for them.

  7. A scripted speech complete with teleprompter. I'm sure she was given a few acting lessons as well. Throw in 2 cute kids for effect . Only a sucker would change his/her mind based on that. Gorgeous family, though...I'll give them that.

  8. the fact is that speech was written for her. By somebody else. That wasn't the Mrs. Obama that we really know. That shows what she will say to get her hubby elected.   No on Obama.

  9. I believe that last night was a complete waste of time, a dog and pony show for the fence riders, but it sure didn't persuade me that Obama's the man, girlie man, metro male, or whatever his gender !

I am convinced of one thing though, Joe Biden was hired by the democratic party to be Obama's training wheels of a sort !

  10. No she did not to me. There is nothing that she could say to make me change my mind.

  11. yes, she did. She lived the American dream...whether you like it or not. I like people who took out college loans, etc. We're not getting in the back door by a legacy.

Their children were nothing less than ADORABLE! They certainly love their dad. These are the family values the Reps preach about but don't live up to.

  12. I think Michelle made a good impression but in no way can she erase doubts about Barack - doubters doubt, believers believe. It is a sad day when so many forsake the principle based vote to a feeling based vote. Michelle presented what the people need, a wife and family standing with the man who will be responsible as the President.

  13. No, nope, nada, nil.

  14. if anyone was swayed to vote for Obama based on what his wife said then those people are idiots.

Her speech was boring, predictable and had nothing of substance at all

  15. Michelle was outstanding and lovely and eloquent and folksy at the same time.  Her speech was heart-felt and her love for her man obvious.  We need to see good family values in this country for a change.  ( are you listening Bill)  I think she , as a First Lady will have the country on its toes with happiness.  And those adorable children, so spontaneous and sweet .  Lots of love there.  Any doubts about Barack I am sure disappeared from many minds.  Can't wait to see them in the White House.

  16. I'm already a Obama supporter so my opinion don't matter, but the speech was amazing. It was big for African Americans. Many people in the black community could have wrote a speech just as touching because we could relate. Michelle and Barack Obama are what black people strive to be. They are the epitome of the american dream. Black people go through so much and America refuses to confront these problems. Unfortunately we only make up like 13% of the total population.

  17. Seems like the more the Dems are on TV, the lower they sink in the national polls
