Yes I believe that there are some similarities between Mike and Jack.  Dempsey used a bob and weave technique to get inside to throw his powerful punches and so did Mike.  Very similar fighting styles.

Jack Dempsey was dead before Mike Tyson even started boxing, but yes he did!!!

Yes they had a similar style both using the bob and weave and hitting on the slip.  Both men were very aggressive and had a killer instinct and were both very fast and powerful. Tyson tended to have a higher guard then dempsey however.

Jack Dempsey was actually  a very good boxer who had very tight punches and rarely was wild as suggested by some members.

I little bit, similar styles, Tysons style was allot tighter and incorporated more punches. Dempsey did bob and weave a little and come forward. Dempsey was sloppier and more hittable.

They both possessed killer instinct. Intimidation, Dempsey used to go into the ring with growth of beard, Tyson with no robe black socks and also intimidation. Tyson was alot more of a technican than Jack. Dempsey died in 1983 when Tyson was still a 16 or 17 year old amatuer.

tyson modeled himself on the manassa mauler, adapting a similar style, he also had a similar hairstyle to dempsey, went a few days without shaving like dempsey, married and divorced and actress like dempsey

Not at all. Dempsey threw wild punches that were wide. He also looked for the one big punch instead of throwing combos. The young tyson threw combos and threw his punches straight instead of going really wide like Dempsey.
