Did Mother Teresa ever live in Belfast Ireland?

Went on bus tour of the city centre yesterday was told she lived in Belfast for 4 years in 1970s and pointed out a Street, but wondered if guide was mistaken.

  2. No - she never lived there but spent time in Dublin.

  3. She lived in Loreto Abbey , Rathfarnham , Ireland , not in Belfast -  Rathfarnham is on the south side of Dublin

  5. No, but she went to school in Rathfarham in Dublin.

  6. She began her training as a nun with the Loreto Sisters there.

    At the age of 18 she oined the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Ireland. Then she left to join the Sisters of Loreto in Calcutta.

    She came to Belfast but did not live there.

    She opened a mission there in 1971.

    It did not work out though. It lasted 18 months and the house the sisters lived in was vandalised.
