  1. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did not invent Ramadan or any part of Islam for that matter.  As God said:  "This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion (5:3)."

God also said:  "O ye who believe, fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you may learn sel-restraint."

Fasting has been proven to be beneficial, not only for one's soul, but also for one's body and health.  Allah knows best!

  2. Lol..

If i am not mistaken... I think the pregnant, the old and sick and little children need not fast.

I think the fasting is to remind the muslims about the underprivilege people.........

  3. please get some knowledge and then aks question. with half baked knowledge you post coment shere and waste people's time.

Pregnant women, sick people, old infirm people, children need not fast.

People who are travelling (and it is essential for them to travel) might skip fasting those days he/she is travelling and then fast later on.

Fasting actually improves health if followed properly. BTW, you only fast during day time. u eat/drink before dawn and eat after dusk/drink.

  4. he just wanted everyone to be a muslim ,thats what he cared

  5. (Fasting) for a fixed number of days, but if any of you is ill or on a journey, the same number (should be made up) from other days. And as for those who can fast with difficulty, (i.e. an old man, etc.), they have (a choice either to fast or) to feed a poor person (for every day). But whoever does good of his own accord, it is better for him. And that you fast, it is better for you if only you know." (2:183-84)Qur'an

2:185 Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful.

2:187 Permitted to you, on the night of the fasts, is the approach to your wives. They are your garments and ye are their garments. Allah knoweth what ye used to do secretly among yourselves; but He turned to you and forgave you; so now associate with them, and seek what Allah Hath ordained for you, and eat and drink, until the white thread of dawn appear to you distinct from its black thread; then complete your fast Till the night appears; but do not associate with your wives while ye are in retreat in the mosques. Those are Limits (set by) Allah. Approach not nigh thereto. Thus doth Allah make clear His Signs to men: that they may learn self-restraint.

  6. As long as people worshipped him and did as he said he wouldnt have cared, had they ignored him he would look through that odd book of his and find justification to chop them to bits.

  7. Peace and blessings be upon you.

Mohammed didn't invent Ramadan , it was an order from the God.

Why some one invent something or force himself to something hard for him.

The God always want the ease for  us not the difficulty.

And who can't fast , he must not fast , the woman in period is weak ,after delivery is weak , feed a baby is weak , the ill person, ......

See this verse : Surah 2:

[185] Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur-an, as a guide to mankind, also Clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put you to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful.

And if you know how much fasting is helpful and healthy , you will fast , i know people not muslims fast as them to relax their stomach , get rid of harmful and posionus substances in their intestine, fasting organize the movement of the gastrointestinal tract ,organize the processes of secrtion and digestion.
