  1. Normal break.

  2. It was the normal Congressional break.

  3. The last I heard, her rag had only sold 5000 copies, thats "five thousand" copies. (hardly worth the effort) Wonder who bought'em, and reckon will she still send'em out to friends knowing she wasted her money?  She's really gonna be pissed if thats all that sells.

  4. I hear her book is tanking

  5. She is attempting to further stall the vote on drilling. She cannot bear the fact that she is going to be proven wrong. She is quoted as saying, shortly after she shut down the Congress, "If I allow a vote, I won't be able to go home."

This is about her personal pride and nothing more.

    And her book is tanking.

And yes, it is the standard vacation time for Congress, but the vote has been an issue for weeks and weeks. She just stalled it out to avoid having a vote.

There is no defense for what she did and none should be offered.
