Did Nastia let Shawn win gold on the beam?

It seems a little bit suspect that Liukin - whose landings are usually perfect - goofed her dismount on the beam. That small deduction meant she placed second. Coincidence?

No. Shawn main event that is beam, and it is her strongest.  From start to finish she is usually put together, minus her first mishap last week.

Nastia also seems to be a real team player, she wanted to win, but is just as excited for Shawn.

Absolutely not, Nastia's routine was close to perfect but  her difficulty score was a lot less than shawn's and shawn's routine was also close to perfect. In addition you're making it seem that nastias landing was horrible and that she meant to do it. Nastia Liukin would never be that nice and stupid at the same time. Shawn won fair and square!

Both of these young ladies did a fantastic job in the olympics.

They both radiated with class, style, beauty, and performance.

All of America should be proud of these two.

It was probably subconscious. She is good friends with Shawn. If it was on purpose, that was really nice of her. The thing is, it is not nice to say since it belittles Shawn and everyone loves Shawn.

On the other hand it could be Nastia was just still feeling frustrated over the tie on the bars. That could make someone who never falls, fall. Right? In the team event, Nastia got a higher score on it than Shawn but that was before that tie. Shawn had nothing to be frustrated about.

Leave Shawn alone, she won the GOLD because she derserved it.

Her difficulty level was higher than Nasty Nastia and so as a result Shawn scored higher because she was a more skillful gymnast.

Nastia is over-rated, just because she is blonde and pretty, puke.
