Question:

Did Obama shortened his stay in France because of Americans' francophobia?

As you may have understood, I'm French. I was wondering if Obama made a very short stay in France (5 hours only compared to one day in Germany) because he feared to be associated with the French or something that is French. After all, John Kerry was mocked some years ago for looking french (???? makes no sense to me but...). Do democrats want to avoid being associated with anything French after John Kerry? Even Mc Cain (not a French loving person to say the least) stayed longer when he came.

  1. He left France after only a few hours because he knows only two words in French, merci beaucoup, and after using them he didn't want to embarrass himself since he has encouraged all Americans to learn a second language. Apparently he knows more German words.

As far as your question regarding Democrats and their avoidance behavior -- don't even try to figure out Democrats; I've been trying for years and they are  beyond me.

  2. Absolutely.  As a matter of fact, tomorrow they are blowing up the Statue of Liberty.

Don't worry, Luc.  During an election year, even Canada can become the bad guy - stealing away Hollywood movies, evil ranchers raising Mad Cows, sending too much cheap lumber, etc...
