I forgot rightwingerforlife, only republicans can mud swing.  Palin's baby has downs syndrome.  People who choose to have babies after the age of 35 are at high risk for down syndrome (Poor babies, bad choices), so more than likely it was not her young daughters.

*cuzziman84, Palin is basing her experience in politics on the fact that she has given birth and attended a few PTA meetings.  Palin is the one bringing it up.  Apparently she is the only woman on her who has given birth.

If you look at all the facts dispassionately, it smells like King Crab, or at least canned tuna. Read the DailyKos post and consider all the unlikely events and observations that riddle the "official" version of Palin's supposed pregnancy. They just don't add up. They don't stand up to common sense. The Democrats have absolutely nothing to do with it, one way or another. Republicans would prefer otherwise, but sorry, not this time. Keep an eye on her real problem - the abuse of authority investigation being done by the State of Alaska on Sarah Palin. There's a mountain of bad stuff waiting to come to light about this least-vetted Vice-Presidential Nominee in modern American History. She seems like a nice lady, but ready to take over as President if a President McCane dies from his cancer?  ...I don't think so...and nobody else thinks so either.

Huffington, Daily K0S, Newsvine and whoever else is running this story ... if this is a rumor, why are you publishing it? Do you also publish rumors about Obama ... like Obama being a muslim? It sounds like the kind of malicious reporting one would find in the National Enquirer. I wrongly assumed it would be beneath the journalistic integrity of these blogs. ... or, are they in the tank for Obama? I hope this story comes back to bite these smear mongers in the ***. No.  Of course she didn't lie about having a baby to cover up her daughter's pregnancy.  

    

The Governor chose to return to Alaska to have her 5th child despite the following risk factors:

1.  She was leaking amniotic fluid (her water broke)

2.  She was 44 years old, a risky age for childbirth.

3.  The baby she was carrying had known "special challenges" (down syndrome)

4.  The child was one full month premature.

5.  She flew from Texas to Alaska on a commercial airline (Alaska Airlines) while while leaking amniotic fluid, a 10 or more hour flight depending on the length and location of her layover.

6.  She did not inform any of the airline staff of her condition.

However, Gregg Erickson, a reporter from the Anchorage Daily News, told the Daily Kos that the rumors had been investigated and debunked.  

So it appears that these behaviors are not those of a person faking/covering up a pregnancy but merely those of someone with terrible, terrible judgment.

I am an Obama supporter, but i have to admit that this is utterly ridiculous.  We don't need to spread lies like this to win the election.  The truth is that she is an inexperienced social conservative.  I just better not hear McCain say nothing about Obama's "inexperience" when he chose someone to be his VP who has less experience than his opponent.  Isn't the top criteria to be VP someone who can step in and be ready to take over the presidency.  This is a purely political move. Criticize em for that.  But the statement about Palin is completely untrue, and the article was completely unrelated.

To answer your question, probably not.

Given that she is on the national stage, however, I'm sure you know how this question is highly political... and somewhat highly stupid.

Take a look at some of the videos on YouTube featuring this woman.  She isn't the devil.  I'm sure she can win a few extra voters.  And while her credentials definitely characterize her as a "joker's card" pulled out by the McCain camp, she seems decent enough to be a good choice.

The question will be on the expectations she needs to surpass.  And no one can tell the future, so let's leave misunderstandings and wild theories aside.

Besides, if you're voting for Obama, you're already sucked up.

Same thing if you're voting for McCain.

The mystery lies in the BIG middle.

If you want to help your party, don't alienate or argue against pre-sold Republicans or pre-sold Democrats.

Focus, instead, on registering new voters and on convincing them to vote for your party.
