Did Phelps come 2nd??? in Mens 100metre Butterfly?

From the slow motion TV footage, it looked like the 2nd placed swimmer was touching the wall before Phelps??? Did anyone else see the same thing???

i thought the same  but the official verdict is that he came in at 50.58secs and Milorad Cavic finished at 50.59! it's very difficult to spot the winner if the margin's that close.

Well, phelps got 1st becuase of the touchpads. The naked eye cant catch these tiny details... i was watching, that 2nd place glided in, which took more time, and michael took one more stroke that pushed him into the wall

No, Phelps won the race, it was reviewed, and he touched first.  The protest was denied by the serbian's coach.

No the touch pad on the wall has him 0.01 ahead, the other fella shouldn't have glided in from so far. Helps when you have a 6'7" reach eh!

Yes, it kind of looked that way, but it was an illusion.  Those touch sensor pads are pretty darn accurate.  I think Phelps had the advantage of having crazy long arms and fingers.
