  1. no... i haven't seen it in news here in our country.. maybe, it's possible.. But I don't think Philippine Republic have to speak Spanish. They might speak English..

    Do you mean the transition-from-Spanish-to-American-rule part in Philippine History? If that's what you're asking, I don't think so. When the US "bought" the Philippines from Spain, they implemented rules that aimed to completely obliterate the Spanish language from the Philippine culture. English became the new medium of instruction in schools, and instead of speaking Spanish people were instructed to use the English language instead.
