Did Port Power run out against the Crows with a pre-meditated plan to go the thump?

I think so. They may have flattened & injured some Crow players (& those responsible will have their names noted, I'm sure) but I was pleased to see that they lost the match.

  1. Pre-meditated for sure.

It is becoming the way of how Port play against the Crows. Just like Fremantle against the Eagles.

I didn't like what was done to Bassett. I think the player who, smashed his head into the ground, while he had Bassett's arms pinned would not be feeling to proud of himself when watching a replay of the incident.

  2. what i seen on the news reports, i enjoyed.  it was like the 'good ol days'

i couldn't care if i'm seen as a thug or what, thats my stlye of footy, i love it, there should be more of it, as long is it's not king hits and coward acts.

the crowd would of loved it, good on ya port for reminding me of days gone by.

  3. that was one h**l of a game, I hate Port , I think they suck, I hate Treadrae, Motlop, and the Cornes Brothers, and Mark Williams, Treadrae looks like a troll with a big head and he looks retarded, s***w port, THERE ALL RETARDED

  4. Who cares, they're Adelaide teams, hopefully the produce another Ramsgate incident soon.

  5. probly port adelaide is a dirty team

    chad cornes particularly

    great player, but dirty

  6. yeah it was the week before the media were saying that they were soft

  7. I was at that game and it was the dirtiest match I ever saw! According to the Advertiser whoever flattened Porplyzia will probably have the charge dropped because there was an incident that happened last year with Bryon Pickett and that got dropped!

All of Port Adelaide are proper thugs and never again will I got to a showdown.

  8. Its part of the game, cant blame anyone for something that happens on the field. Basset was knocked out, so what...it didnt even really look that hard of a hit. It probably was deliberate, but was not intended to cause concussion. And by the way I am a crows supporter.

  9. Port losing the week before to Sydney was a sore point. They were labeled as soft.

Port lost 5 out of the last 6 Showdowns (now 6/7)

They were (are) pretty pissed coming into the game.

Not sure if the pre-meditation was to deliberately injure the opposition but there's probably a pre-meditation of hitting your opponent hard.

As a Crows supporter I cringed when I saw the hits.

But looking at it objectively - there's not alot wrong with the hits.

Jericho received a hospital handball from VanBerlo.

Bassett is known for kicking at the very last moment to draw in the opponent.

Vince was hit with a good hip and shoulder.
