Did Port really believe they could beat Geelong?

i thought the cats by at least 55pts but some people thought it would be close and that maybe Port could win

does anybody know anything about footy

I think Mark Williams was cocky during the week. He thought Geelong stood no chance. What an Idiot. 119 points is the biggest ever margin in a Grand Final. Maybe he should have spent more time during the week planning than criticizing Geelongs chances of winning.

I always hoped that Geelong would win, and I believed that they would. But to my surprise, I did not think it would be a thrashing. I am so happy it was, I can't stand the arrogance of Port. Lead by Mark Williams, Chad and Warren Tredrea comes in equal second as the most hated player in the Port line up.

Thank God Geelong kicked ***, Port's boring game plan did not work this time.

ports strategy didn't work, by trying to make geelong choke, but instead port did as per usual. Well done Geelong!!

No -  i honestly didn't think Port would win over Geelong. Seeing their coach talked up Port so much, it was like they believed their own hype.

Geelong's Bomber was calm and held everything close to his chest at press conferences. That's the sign of a premiership coach.

I had no doubt Geelong would win yesterday - sweet victory! The boys worked hard all year and they deserved it - i dont think anyone was going to win it away from them yesterday - they were determined.

Plus the real Melboure Grand final was last week with the Pies and the Cats - that was a nail-biting match. Fantastic Football!

Port have this wierd mindset at the club that they are destined to win every premiership they play in... That is why they thought they could win.. That is also why they lost becoz they went into it thinking they had already won... They were too laid back and Geelong were too good.. The Cats were always gonna win!

There is only one thing better than my team winning and that is Port losing! And to go down by over 100 was just sensational!! And no I don't follow Geelong but I was on GF day.
