Did Princess Diana have a bad reputation or was she a s**t?

I don't think she was really a s**t. Charles cheated on her first, and I've heard a lot more news about that than anything Di did.

I agree with Evelyn above.  However, she was a great humanitarian, and by standards of Protestants today, she went to heaven because the virtue of purity is something that only Catholics have to maintain to be saved.  So, if you're a Protestant s**t, try to enjoy this world b/c the next will be brimstone for all eternity.  

Princess Di did have a priest come to her deathbed in the hospital.  Who knows, maybe she's lucky and just in Purgatory till the end of the world.  God Bless Her Soul.  She was the queen of people's hearts!

I know I shouldn't judge people, that's for God to do.  But hey, Catholics aren't perfect.

I believe her "marriage" was over and they were seperated, although not divorced because royal family doesn't get divorced. And that she had a boyfriend and was probably faithful to him.

Also some speculate that since he was of a rifferent race, she was killed so they would stop them from being together, or her from having his babies, creating people who could claim to be heirs to the throne but weren't really "royal family".

Again, all this is speculation, but I am pretty sure of the first part, and again, the second part is a nasty rumor that no one can really prove or disprove.

I believe there was a good movie (book turned movie) that shows this "theory".

I think that she started "going around" after her husband did.  But I don't think that she was such a world class hero like the way her admirers present her.

Imagine this,

You're the most sought after woman in the UK. You have broken free from a marriage that was to a selfish man, cheating on you with a "lady" that looks like a horse. On top of that, he has claimed his adultery on television.

What do you do?

DATE! For crying out loud. Princess Diana was not loose or any of the sorts. She was feeling natural rebellion from the firm she married into.

Princess Diana was a woman seriousy wronged. All evidence shows that Charles never intended to give up his mistress. He married Diana to have heirs for the throne. But the thing that makes this a betrayal was that he pretended to love her. Diana truly believed that he did. That was his crime. The world was probably replete with young ladies of suitable birth who would have married him on such conditions, just to get to be princess and later queen and mother to heirs to the throne of England. Tougher, less vulnerable girls. When Diana understood, it was too late, she was already married. Instead of assurance and support, she had a loveless marriage, she was emotionally starved. Yes, she was unfaithful to her husband, and that was unwise of her. But, a s**t? No way. Charles wasted her life when he married her.
