  1. No.

  2. Princess Margaret died in 2002 aged 71, after suffering a stroke. ...

  3. Alas, Princess Margaret died from nothing so dramatic.  A life time of heavy smoking and drinking brought about a series of strokes beginning with a mild stroke in 1998 and ending in a massive stroke that brought about her death, February 9, 2002. A stroke in March  2001 had already paralyzed her right side and impaired her vision.

Princess Margaret routinely smoked 60 Chesterfields daily until about the time of her first stroke in 1998.  She drank Famous Grouse whiskey at home and gin on vacation until she stopped drinking after suffering from hepatitis in 1984.

She was romantically linked with drug pusher, gangster, and actor, John Bindon (who died of AIDS in 1993).

  4. She died from a stroke, after years of heavy drinking and smoking.

It has been speculated that she had a milder version of porphyria, the same inherited disease that affected King George III. However, this is pure speculation, and we are unlikely to know for certain.
