judomofo, good point bout haye, forgot about him. but the others have b.s. belts not the linear real belt for the weight class. like dawson and tarver when calzaghe is the linear champ in the division. anderson silva would not qualify for affirmative action because he is not an american. hes brazillian.

  1. So are you saying Anderson Silva is not black?

Would your logic also apply to other minorities? such as Hispanics and Asians? Can whites then use reverse discrimination due to your "affirmative action" logic?

    Good luck!

  2. Frank and Judomofo are correct.

Their are plenty of Black champions and pulling the racial card is an all new low here.

Wulf - I have to agree I do not see Natives making a stink over things and they have more right too!

  3. I wouldnt matter what color any one was it was because they were just better at the time of the fight.

  4. I know what your trying to do as a black person I have knowen that I had to be twice as good as a white person in sports and in business the blacks of today don,t understand this and that is when they think they did enough to win or to get the job and when they don,t they get it they get up set . I did not see the fight but I know Jackson won the fight I am sure of it because there are whites and blacks talking about it from both sides. If I were white and I lost I would not want someone to give me a pass just because I am white. the GUY WHO OWNS UFC is very smart he built his business on white guys beating white guys he does not need black champions he has a lot of Rocky's like in the movies they are not real champions they are marketing.Let me put it this way There was a drug out when I was young called MDA it was not a very popular drug at the time. Well about 25 years ago someone renamed the drug to Ecstasy and the rest is history

  5. that would be pointless and no one would watch ufc anymore. i'm sorry but rampage fought a good fight but he did not deserve to win. forrest griffen fought better and was more energetic through the entire fight. if they gave black fighters an advantage just because he's black. i love rampage but he rightfully lost.

    honestly...

  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't bias based on race alone called "racism"?  If a black guy wins he should be the champ.  If a mexican guy wins, HE should be the champ.

I think the judges should be watched - any judge that seems to be scoring fights based on racial bias should be fired.

Rampage beat a white guy.  A white guy beat Rampage.  The best fighter (according to the judges) won.

What is the historical percentage of champion fighters that are black?  I'm guessing it's proportional to the percent of blacks that are in the sport.  Same with White, Latino, Asian...

Regarding Mayweather, should he have won against De La Hoya?  If we're basing things on "leveling the playing field" wouldn't age come in to play too?  In that case De La Hoya won their fight.  Grading fights on a curve is cheating, not "leveling the field".  The entire notion is nonsense when it's man vs. man.

Maybe it's ok when you're talking about education or social programs where minorities are truly disadvantaged, but not athletic events.

  7. WOO HOO political correctness comes to the MMA.You know what PC is?

"Political Corectness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is

entirely possible to pick up a t**d by the clean end."

  8. That is pointless what about Anderson Silva lol, and Rampage did have the belt for heavyweight he won it at UFC 71 for heavyweight.

  9. people like yourself \give give affirmative action  a bad name "rampage" jackson is a very very talented fighter he earned the UFc light heavy weight title form chuck liddell a great striker he then beat pride light heavy weight champion dan henderson a great all around fighter he has a great record and has been in the cage with some of the top fighters in the world and you want him to start crying racism to win fights your stupid and before you start keep in mind that forrest is the only white amereican champoion in UFC bj penn is hawiian anderson silva is half african american half brazillan george st pierre french canidan an dnugueia is brazillan and no no fighters has ever been denied a chance at a title because of his skin color kimbo a street brawler who fights no bodies is gett probably the biggest push in the sport

There are some evry talented fighter in the sport of MMA that happen to be black rashed evans rampage brett rogers form elite XC among many many others they all earned there way to where they are and no you dont a fighter anything

What your saying is that a black fighter cant win the belt on his own he needs help which

I disagree with totally rampage is among the best in the world so your racist correct???

  10. so what ur saying is we should be racist and discriminatory against white fighters to make black fighters champions?, i dont get it, why just not let them fight to decided whos better, if u watch the Griffin vs. Rampage match, Griffin won not bc he was white but bc  he worked harder landed more shots and control the fight , affirmative action is just racism by another name let the fighters actions not their skin color decide the outcome

  11. No, he deserves to win 'cause he's good. Don't try and pull the race card, @$$face.

  12. Anderson Silva?

    No black champions in boxing?

Ummm...Nate Campbell, Chad Dawson, Steve Cunningham, David Haye, Antonio Tarver, Verno Phillips, Andre Berto, Paul Williams, etc.etc. those are just off the top of my head, there might be even more out there....

However, my thought is that it should take a good bit to beat the champ in a decision. I haven't seen the fight, but in a close fight usually the decision should go to the Champ... but I will have to watch it a few times...

  13. Seems the others already said Silva so I don't have too.

Remember though ten years ago Boxing was dominated by blacks as the best boxers. SO I am sure their is just not the quality as their was before and their will be again!!

I am going to add on to my answer here.

I do not think the quality of boxers were worst ten years ago so hence blacks were better. I think over all in the 80s and 90s Blacks were so GREAT they DOMINATED the sport. Now their is more challenges and they are not white in boxing, they are Hispanic.  People still talk about that great white hope lol.  I am Cherokee as I said to you so to me when is the last time you saw a Native American win because he was Native American???  As a Native American my views on issus are far different than that of a Black or a White in most cases. I am very tolerant and well honestly no offence to any one but this was my peopl's land. I am an a proud American too so I am far far past the ancient history.  I am just proud to be Cherokee but I do not go around talking about it and using it as a reason why I won or lost.  It is your ability that determines it or sadly sometimes BIASED JUDGES!!! That is sad when that happens.

Do I make more sense now to you?  I think Blacks were awesome fighters in the 80s and 90s now they have more competition. Same thing happened in Basketball, it was once all white dominated and now it is mostly Black and who cares, really, as long as their is a game and you enjoy it I do not care if you are white, yellow green purple red black. I like a fighter by their attitude and ability not their color.  So me being Cherokee you cannot possibly have any beef with me at all I am not racist and I think color has nothing to do with anything except when Judges become blinded by racism and allow it to influence their choices.

What Judomofo wrote is accurate and correct IMO
