  1. ABSOLUTELY!!!!

  2. Yeah they havent played too well at all this season, though their last month has been good. I think they lacked experience all yeah, but give them time and their young kids will step up

  3. ABSOLUTELY!!

  4. im a dye hard supporter and yes they deserved it and if it was like english soccer they should be dropped to a lower level

  5. yeah they did, they have been rubbish for a long time now i think they need a few top draft picks

  6. well they kind of tanked the game so yeah lol plus i kinda have  a soft spot for richmond :)

  7. Pity we didn't have a system similar to pommy soccer. There they don't award a wooden spoon - the bottom team gets the flick to a lower grade.

That's all Richmond deserves, this year, for the spiritless performances during the season.

  8. yes he did that marvellous man!!

  9. Yes.

But rather than bag the Tigers, here's some actual reasons as to why they deserved the spoon.

    1) They were poor no doubt, and you knew they were going to have a bad season right from the first possession they had this season, when their captain, Kane Johnson kicked the ball in the wrong direction.

    2) They're still too reliant on Matthew Richardson. It doesn't matter who you are, you cannot base a successful side around one key forward. Graham p***k showed glimpses when he was up forward (especially against Collingwood a few weeks ago).

    3) They were somewhat unlucky injury wise. Had Nathan Brown and Troy Simmonds been able to play most of the season, they'd have secured a better record than they did. They played a fair majority of the season without their number 1 ruckman and their best player.

2008 will be different for the Tigers, especially if Brown and Simmonds can get through the Pre-Season without interruption, and Jack Riewoldt continues developing.

  10. Yeah. They played well for 3quarters of most games. If they can just finish off the games and increase their confidence and develop some younger players, they could get dangerous in a few years. But untill then I'd have to say I didnt want them to get last. The best thing is, they can always cause upsets if you take them lightly.

  11. Does Richmond deserve the wooden spoon? well no according to my mother as it landed on my backside many a time.... because she said I deserved it.    Some one has to come last in any walk of life including sport, that's what makes us the greatest sporting nation in the world. Unfortunately the only one that gets the blame is the coach. But in the end the only way is up as the Bombers song goes Up Up good luck to them next season

  12. I think they were unlucky to lose a couple of the close ones but looking at overall performance it would have been between them and Carlton.

  13. It's not a question of who deserves the wooden spoon.

The fact is if u finish on the bottom of the ladder you get the wooden spoon. Unfortunately Richmond finished last.

I wouldn't be to dissapointed though, Richmond is doing what Hawthorn did a few years back, it wont be long before success comes back to punt road.

  14. Richmond too hard to pick most times (well not this season) even when they are having a half decent season. Richmond does deserve the wooden spoon, along with Carlton, they were the most disappointing teams. Richmond has talent, what went wrong?

P.S Katie & I are not the same person, we are just friends.
