Jeff Gordon is on the edge of making the chase and suddenly he's first in practice after such a bad year. Should this show Rick that if he puts his best driver in the best car he can do good things?? Jr's had the best car all year but how many times has he been fastest in practice?? I think it's time Rick gives Gordon his old car back full time now. Who's with me??

  1. anjother dumb question from a dumb asker. gordon \has the same cars he's always had moron. and winter glory, did you not watch the race last week when they mentioned that junior had been experimenting with different set ups in recent races because he was already solidly in the chase, and maybe THAT'S why he hasn't been doing as well. he'll be just fine once the chase starts and the races start mattering again. it 'makes me wonder'  if you haters have a clue about NASCAR

  2. Dont get mad becouse he is having a hard time. I am a J.R. fan. I say that you should hope that all the R.H. teams do well.

  3. do i hear the school bell a ring a dinging.

he'll do just fine there little boy never you fear..........

  4. He has been struggling all year and it was great to see that he was fastest in practice.  I hope he gets a win...any race this year.  He's a champ and deserves a champ ride.

  5. Gordon usually does well at Richmond... I think you'll see him in the top five at the end of the night unless he's caught up in something.

I don't think he's had his cars taken away.. that's one heck of a conspiracy theory though..lol!

  6. I totally agree with you!  Rick has made a mistake giving Jr. the better car (it makes me ill how Rick has been kissing up to Jr)!

  7. He ran well during practice and qualifying last week also. But, during the race itself, not so much.

Rick can't give Gordon his "old car" back. They have to race the COT now. You know, the car that doesn't handle as great, and that the 24 teams hasn't been able to consistently set up for Jeff to drive. They will get there, don't worry.

  8. I'm so glad to see Jeff 1st. I sure would love to see him win this weekend! Go Jeff Go.

  9. Gordon was not all that spectacular prior to putting up that fast lap. He was in 34th place for most of practice and complaining of the handling of the car. The car went from loose to tight but Jeff was still not happy with the car. The team put the car up on scales and changed the splitter height as well as made other adjustments. Then when he went out for a mock qualifying run he went from 34th to 22nd and then on the next run from 22nd to 1st. The 24 has been qualifying great the last few weeks but when it's race time the car is nowhere near close to comfortable where Jeff is comfortable and it's fast. Looks like qualifying will be rained out so Gordon will start 10th and we'll see how he runs, but I'm not expecting anything spectacular from the 24

  10. I heard Sasquatch stole his car and finally gave it back after #24 gave him a case of beef jerky.................Wow, excuses, excuses, excuses.

  11. Jeff Gordon should still be getting top dog status at HMS, despite the fact that he doesn't sell as many t-shirts as Jr.

He's been there the longest, he's won that organization 4 championships. No one should be put before him.

Interesting note: Jr. started the season very strong, and has since been struggling. The opposite is the case for the 24 and 48.

Not saying it's true or not that Jr was getting Jeff and Jimmie's equipment and cars, but it does make you wonder.
