Did Roman philosophy differ from Greek philosophy?

I really have no background in either of them. I only understand the 5 main religions of today's world.

  2. Yes. Roman's copied the Greeks in many ways, but they were still different.

  3. Not really. The Greeks underpinned the Romans. Rome had three phases Etruscan Rome, Classical Rome and Imperial Rome. Classical Rome was so influenced by the Greeks, it is sometimes called Greco-Roman. During this time most teachers were Greek as were a lot of poets and play writers. It was felt at this time you were not literate unless you spoke and wrote Greek as well as classical Latin.
