  1. Russia stopped attacking on its own terms, America condemned the attack since it started.  We will not attack Russia, we will only bother them with politics.

It is important to note that Russia succeeded in reversing the Georgian advance completly in S. Ossetia and destroyed a number of Georgian tanks with minimum losses.

If we were going to fight Russia we would have done it on day 1.  We could deploy A full airborne division from America in under 18 hours and we have already demonstrated our ability to pull combat troops out of Iraq(with the full transportation of Georgia's army).  The United States has 2 carrier fleets in the Gulf and was perfectly capable of engaging Russia.

We did not do this because 1. It is stupid to fight Russia.

    2. Goergia was in the wrong, S. Ossetia has a right to exist as a free country

    3. to reiterate, It is stupid to fight Russia.

  2. no it didn't, they continued bombing, shooting, burning the houses down, robbing, etc, etc, etc. you don't have to attack it , it's 21th century we're talking about (not for russians of course) , they'll just manage without that (i hope so)

  3. No Russia attack was partly to show that they could do it whether America said not to or not. they showed that we are weak and no longer the world power we once were. If this had been 1999 Russia would not dear attack and LI of the u.s

  4. First, Russia stopping had nothing to do with US saying so. We don't have the much power.

And if they didn't stop we probably would not have attacked, but they still have forces in Georgia. In fact, these forces are still on command to shoot the enemy if the time arises. If this continues and Russia continues to have this military presence in Georgia, I wouldn't be surprised if the US in some way got involved, maybe other countries as well.

  5. No there are wars all over. the beginning of the end

  6. For the sake of humanity; backdoor channels provided amble dialogue to prevent a massacre. The President of France and other diplomats mustard the attention of both states and address a six point negotiation for a cease fire. In the mix are further negotiation to settle the dispute of two regions of Georgia, that are leaning to joining Russia or their very own independents. The US's Secretary of State; Ms. Rice was on vacation and didn't bother to come back until the negotiation were in their final stages. Ironically, Russian politics is her forte. Once again Americans can be proud of how are tax dollars are well spent.

  7. No. No way.

  8. No an No

  9. No, it's the threat of economic sanctions from the EU
