Did Sarah Palin's Speech "Prove" she is the right choice for VP?

Because if it did I missed it? How can one speech "Prove" anything? What did she "Prove" that she is a good speaker? That she can read words off a telepromter of a speech written by McCains writers? I don't understand what it is that she proved with her words? She spoke the same same same ol' $hit we have been hearing for the last 8 years....

no it proves that she can be mean and nasty... and when she gets attacked back all of her rethug friends and supporters will be crying sexism

I cannot believe people actually think that was a good speech, of all the political speeches have seen it was one of the worst, wow she read the teleprompter for 25 minutes.  Want to know what is amazing.......She needed a teleprompter to talk about her family for 10 minutes of that time.  She had no energy, no charisma, and nothing that drew me in and wanted to listen.  I dredged thourgh that horrendous speech and cannot believe people are praising her, the simple fact is that she is only getting this attention and praise as a female republican. Look at her track record and all of her short comings and she is horrible VP candidate.  Ethics issues of getting her ex brother in law fired, admitting to smoking pot, being a member of a party that supported Alaskas succesion from the U.S(funny  McCain says America first), the fact that she cannot keep control of her own family hence her unwed 17 yer old getting knocked up,  and the news yesterday that she accepted almost 5000 in donations in a scandal that has led to and indictment on corruption charges for Sen. Ted Stevens.  Anyone saying that one speech has proven she is ready to be VP obviosuly isnt looking at facts or listening to what the candidates haev to say.

She didn't prove much, but here are a few of the unbiased things I saw in her:

~She proved that she can deliver witty "Hillary Clinton-style" punch lines against Obama.

~She proved that she can be strong and feminine at the same time.

~She proved that she has NO CLUE of what a Vice President is and does and that McCain has no clue as well. If she knew, she would have spent more time establishing herself as opposed to attacking the opposition. People only know more about her pesonality after her speech, nothing more about her possibly being the 2nd most powerful leader of the free world.

Why can't she write here speech?  This speech was left over from old Republican Convention no substance just hot air.  Gave no plans of what they plan to do for the future.

She did prove she is not a Washington Insider. Obama has been spouting CHANGE like he is some great reformer. Then he picks a guy who spent his whole adult life as a Washington insider for his running mate. Some change.

McCain has made a career of bucking the system, and his own party at times. The 90% number for voting with Bush is a rouse. Bush doesn't even vote in the Senate or the House. When you take out all the meaningless bills and unanimous votes, it comes to more like 45%.

Palin got where she is today by fighting corruption, particularly in her own party. She ran for governor against a Republican incumbent and beat him in the primary. then she beat a former Democrat governor in the general election. I like that.
