The reason that that budget page dropped 62% was that a program called “Alaska Challenge Youth Academy” that was included in 2007 was moved to a separate budget item in 2008 (where it’s funding increased).

2008 - 5.7 million

Thank you Samantha. With a child who has Downs Syndrom,(and she knew it before he was born,) she wouldn't do that. I cannot believe the number of people on Y.A. that are so closed minded and are willing to pick up on the slightest thing to bring a bad light on a person. I didn't know the answer and you sure did. yep..suprising since she has a special needs child. But Birds of a Feather - John Mccain voted to cut funding on Head Start and other special needs programs also
