I fail to understand why McCain would choose her.  He has got to have more common sense then that, wouldn't you think?  He could have chosen another woman with a proven track record.  I'm still shaking my head over his choice and once the Palin love fest subsides and the people figure out what she is really about, this will not sit well for McCain.

Yes, he thinks somehow by picking a women that women who were for Hillary will now vote for him since he picked a women. This women is not Hillary and women are not that dumb. He is pandering to the far right. If he was really a maverick he would have picked the best person not someone who would get him votes. I think he hates women thats why he is not pro choice. He dumped his first wife for a trophy bride with money, now he is dumping his principles to win an election. This women Palin couldn't attract any Hillary voters ever. I think the two of them should just go hunting for some better strategy.

The reason why he chose Palin is because he takes the american public for a bunch of fumbling idiots.  Think about it:  Why would a democrat who has seen the destruction that Republicans have caused Vote in another Republican to cause more destruction?

1.  Because they are racist and don't want to see a black man as President of the USA

2. Because they are pissed off that Hillary didn't make it this far and they call themselves "feminists" wanting the 1st woman vice president yet if they're really stupid they fail to see that Palin sets women back about 50 years with her beliefs and policies.

If you are talking about his choice of vp i think so. She plays into the whole maverick image, could garner support from women, and was very popular in Alaska. But she has no real experience when it comes to foreign affairs ruining his "obama is to inexperienced" argument, not to mention with his health being so poor you would expect him to pick a vice president who could handle becoming the office in the event of his death or sickness, rather he made a blatantly obvious political move.
