  1. I guess you could argue that every book is a parable used to state the theme of a story. In that sense, yes, he did.  


  2. I think "Romeo and Juliet" has a definite message about how hate from the world can destroy the innocent and those who try to love.  How we really shouldn't wait for tragedy to unite us, how we should just forgive and "make up" before it's too late.
