I said that Lankans are becoming over-confident and before match curator said that India will lose. They forgot that India has habit of bouncing back very strongly after huge defeat.Ask Australia or South Africa for that.

  1. Yes,they were .Look at how Dilshan & Samaraweera got out in the first innings. They thought they will win and not concentrating in their batting much.

To MAN BEHIND MASK __U seems to be new to cricket, haven't u seen Sri Lankan batsman like Sanga,Sanath and Great Aravinda playing fast bowlers.Jayasuriya have ended few carriers of fast bowlers too.Eg: Prabhakar.U seems to be jealous with Sri Lankan Cricket.

  2. no

  3. No, i don't think that Lankan would ever under-estimate India! Becoz India has always been known for bouncing back! And I give full credit to Bhajji and Sehwag for this victory! Both were great and i hope they carry on their performance to the next test match! Come on India!!!

  4. No, i think that India just bowled really well. Sri Lanka is a team that will never underestimate another team.

  5. Sri Lanka became over confident and complacent at the ability of Muralitharan and Ajanta Mendis to demolish Indian batting after the Colombo test and prepared a spinner friendly wicket for the second test forgetting the fact that India have also spinners capable to demolishing the opposition on  a spinner friendly wicket.  Their calculation was misfired and had to pay the price.

  6. yes match for me is very special because in this match i find a true team spirit from sehwag , as he delayed his double ton just to make more runs for his team  from that instant i knows that we r goin to win , i dont think it is overconfidence , but it is good display of talents from both sides and we win it .

  7. Funny thing is, that Sri Lnak also got a lot of luck in this match, and a lot of the decisions went aginst india, and yet they still won by a fairly big margin.

When india feel they have been cheated, or any controversy, conflict and indian fan, doubting and media going of on one, the star studded indian lineup always fightback, and are masters of that, as they have some real champions in that side.

  8. no, they knew this was on the cards thats why you could see Mahela fighting with umpires and appeling for 25 seconds etc.

umpires couldn't save Sri Lanka, however they tried their best, 170 runs with M&M is a heavy defeat, the gloaters are hiding today, i just had a feeling that Sri Lanka is still a minnow in front of good pace bowling, lol !

congrats to India for showing that they are the best of the best, whenever they have been cursed by people, they come back harder than ever!

Edit: when did i criticise India, yes India was poor at fast tracks earlier, but not now, you are talking about past , don't misproject the facts, i always said Sri Lanka won because India was exposed to bad conditions and India is a much better team, you have a mania of praising foreign nationals and criticising your own nation for whatever unknown reasons!

    god bless you !

  9. YES UR  right

  10. I don't think so.They lost the toss. And they did their part to restrict India to 329 in the I innings.

But as usual India took time and came back fighting hard despite insignificant contribution from the seniors.

The third test should be interesting.

  11. The match was lost by the Lankans in their second innings. Ishant Sharma bowled remarkably taking three most important wickets. In an inspired mood, Ishant bowled 15 overs and conceded just 20 runs and took the wickets of Warnapura, Mahela and Dilshan, all three centurions in the first test. Zaheer scalped Sanga, the greatest test match batsman of our times.

Then the spinners did the rest. Could Sri Lanka have avoided such a defeat ? Yes. I think they were over-confident.
