Question:

Did Sydney win the game or did Adam Hunter lose it?

Great comeback from Sydney but how bad was Adam Hunter. He missed 3 easy shots on goal, one of which went out on the full. He was then moved back in defence and he tried to take Bolton's head off (and tackled him without possession) in front of goal with a minute to go.

If the one he kicked out on the full from 30 metres out had gone through for a point, West Coke would have been able to rush a behind in the last minute instead of keeping it in play.

  1. go swans

  2. Sydney won - Adam Hunter did not lose the game.

The team as a whole are to blame.

I note that it is people like X MAN, who has never played the game himself, other couch sitters who haven't played the game either & females who agree with such a silly suggestions.

  3. I'm a Swans supporter and I was at the game- the Swans won it- with a fair bit of help from the Eagles! Our first quarter was like we were asleep- but holding them goal-less in the third and firing in the 4th won us the game. And wasn't it sweet!

  4. typical syd-wce game,

always going to be something controversial,

to answer your question the WHOLE wce side lost that match,

with a handy 37point lead in the 3rd they should av' won!

but this game is so quick that the lead OBVIOUSLY wasn't enough,

    WELL DONE to the swans,

Brett Kirk best captain going around, what an absolute leader and inspirational champion!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. It don't matter so long as WCE lost

  6. With a 37 point lead in the third quarter, the Eagles mob have only themselves to blame for not closing out the match. Not one player, but every player on the field was responsible for the capitulation. Jusr goes to show the mental attitude that Roosy has instilled in the Swans. Great comeback by them, great win

  7. The umpiring was pretty bad. If Quentin Lynch didn't miss that goal, we would have won. Oh well, you can't do anything about it now.

  8. always remember that some of the best football is played from tne grandstands

  9. Anyone out there ever played a TEAM sport?? It takes more than on person to lose a footy game. If only Lynch hadn't missed a goal or two, If only Wirra hadn't missed, If only WC didn't give away the 50m penalty at the end. Bit harsh to blame one person.

S F C : Please don't lump me wth the silly females who just agree with what X Man says

  10. lol yeh when he tackled Bolton he should of thought twice coz they were right in front of goal and there was less than a minute.

  11. Can't really say. Adam Hunter could've given that free kick away any other time. So maybe Sydney might've won anyway. Good comeback from Sydney though. In pretty fine form.

  12. Woah.. Bad topic to pick on cos I thought the total lack of goal kicking skills was relevant to both sides, swans kicked a few way-ward outta bounds..

I thought Swans were soooo lucky to win at all, They played one quarter and won....?

Sorry I expect more outta the boys and bet Roosy told em that this week too..

If we're to be a top 4side, we gotta play or at least turn up for 4quarters!!

I always feel the Umpires have the Swans v Eagles game firmly in their hands and they ultimately make the final decision... unfortunately..

Swans won it.. Hunter just had a bad day out..

Way to make friends and influence people S F C...

You have quite the opinion, but do you have the brain matter to back it up or does it all just dribble out incoherently?

  13. xman is correct

who cares as long as they lost

  14. well even though adam hunter lost their lead. Sydney were good enough to claw there way back from a six goal down. that means the whole eagles team were responsible.
