Did Tim Donaghy get off easy or what?

15 months? Are you freakin kiddin me? I don't care if he made a plea bargain, the guy sabotaged and jeopardized the integrity of a century year old sport for the past decade, and he's going to be a free man before 09 is over. What a joke.

15 months in jail is not easy. i think nba is suing him for millions of dollars to pay for their ' integrity '.

He gave up names of more important people, maybe even in the NBA Commissioner's Office. And the feds are gonna strike hard on them. There is no way he was the only one, because nobody backed Stern when he stated that Donaghy was a "single rogue," including the investigators. This problem will get worse for Stern until he lets the feds ferret out all of those involved.

I think it's fair.  It's not a violent crime, but betters were defrauded.  I think the punishment fits the crime.  There are dozens of other NBA refs who kept up the integrity of the sport, he's just the bad apple.

Anyway...one can meet up with Prison Bubba several several times in prison in a fifteen month span.  He'll get what's coming to him.

i dont think he got off easy. 15 mos. in prison wont be easy and will probably feel like 15 yrs to him. his rep is tarnished and he'll never work another basketball game for as long as he lives.

please that stuff was going on probably before donaghy was born, i think the question is to what extent...i personally would not be surprised if his allegations about the league fixing games is true & i hope they do what they need to do to correct it cause i love nba basketball but i have thought the officiating was a black eye for about 17 years now ever since the middle of the jordan era when pistons bad boy style basketball was basically outlawed by league rules & officials, now you cant breath on a guy & they routinely make stupid calls, i think he was dealt with harshly. personally if someone murders or rapes then i understand a harsh penalty, but something like this i cant see it as justifiable to give him 15 mos.
