Did Travis Pastrana retire from FMX, why?

Because he wanted to do other extreme sports like rally and BMX.

Sort of. He's been in the game for a while and just wanted to move to rally.

No. To the person who said he wanted to do BMX...no. He never "Retired". His knees are so bad, that if he would race a supercross race, and hit a rythm section, they would most likely blow out. That is the main reason. I'm pretty sure he's doing the Red Bull X-Fighters also. So he's not done...but he's done the holy grail of tricks. No need to defend somthing that will never be done again. And don't say Scott Murray did it cause he is just some DB who doesn't have a brain and pins it.

At the moment he is concentrating on rally car driving and has backed away from racing mx and doing FMX.  Whether he will go back to the sport he is so famous for remains to be seen, but if he does choose to he will have to do a lot of work to get back the skills he had.
