Did UNICEF help LTTE ?

Recently Sl PM announced that the UNICEF help LTTE by suppling food and other goods?

UNICEF helps the impoverished people but it is not sure if it supported LTTE.

I doubt that UNICEF would help the Tamil Tigers.  They have been a known terrorist group/freedom fighters for decades.  Yes, they do have a small youth population, but I doubt that the LTTE would even let them near.  These guys are tough and are recognized by the UN as a significant threat to Sri Lanka.  So, I doubt that they would support them, even if it is for their children.
