That was really crazy. At  first they said it was a 5.8 but now they're saying it was a 5.4.

they revised it to a 5.4 - earthquakes are always scary but I'd rather have earthquakes than hurricanes / that's why I'm in CA

Yes! People in my office were crying and jamming the cell phone lines. We are trapped in the office with no elevator service. It's lunch time and people are hungry. I wonder when the cannibalism will start...

it started about 2 miles from where i live!

it was kinda funny though cause my 17 yr old brother started screaming like a girl

I live in Riverside, 50 miles east of L.A. and closer to chino Hills where the epicenter was. I;'ve been through dozens, but you never get used to them. Time stands still while it's happening and you feel like you're watching it happen to someone else. the windows were rattling, the blinds shaking and the floor rolling. It was light at first, then got stronger. my dogs ran under my bed and i got under a table and it stopped. Now I'm waiting for the aftershocks. They're always unnerving.

Yes, even I was in it beacuse I WAS IN Southern California when it happened!

It occured today exactly at 11:42am. It happened in the house when I was talking.Then, there was this sudden rumble underneath the earth. I was frantic. It was over after like 20-30 seconds. When it was over, I switched on the news, they were measuring the strength of the force on richter scale and we were told to expect aftershocks. Thank God, the actual magnitude was 5.4 according to Caltech offcials and they orginally set it at 5.8 beacuse they doubted the temblor caused major structural damage.

I didn't even feel any of the aftershocks but , my aunt said she did. Latimes said the biggest aftershock was 3.6

We were told on the news, there was slight damage in property. However ,no significant injuries were reported. They also said to expect a big earthquake in the next decade. Its magnitude will be between 7.0 - 9.0

something like that but I don't where to expect it because they didnt say.

I mean who in Southern California did not feel it? Obviously, the ppl driving thier cars.

It was originally a 5.8, but they changed it to 5.4 The epicenter was in Chino Hills, but although it was a moderate earthquake, no serious damage nor any injuries have been reported. The most was some water pipes bursting. For more information on the earthquake:

My first earthquake :) I felt it as slight rocking, in Downtown LA some buildings swayed, in Disneyland in Anaheim, some rides also swayed and people had to get down from them. But all in all, gave us a scare but no known injuries happened. :)
