  1. h**l,no. We won't go.

  2. I should imagine that the demonstration made the troops out there, who are getting shot at, feel really valuable!

Sad that fighting men are risking their lives for the likes of these demonstrators

    Edit....

Dr Watson - you can use any excuse you want to denegrate the troops are doing out there, however, while they are out there doing a job, then people should keep their gobbs shut and let them get on with it.

They do not decide policy or tactics, they follow orders, or perhaps in that cotton wool world in which you live, you would prefer that the troops just hop on a plane and come home if they dont agree with the war.

  3. No

  4. No I didn't.  But good on them.  Stephen H, by your reckoning then this government can do anything it likes and we dare not say anything for fear of upsetting the troops and making them feel devalued, and they're not fighting for the likes of us - they're fighting for the Iraqi people aka oil !

  5. No, I did not.

  6. Yes. I volunteered as a steward.

  7. Nope i came home from university i didn't know anything of a demonstration not that our gov really gives a toss.

  8. I did and no one was demonstrating against the troops. The point was to bring the troops home (and highlight the danger that Iran is likely to be invaded next). The call was for flowers (wreaths/shoes etc) to be left in Parliament Square to commemorate all of the lives lost, including those of the military. War is a human tragedy not an opportunity to brag over which playground bully is the strongest.

  9. No, I would of done, if I could of got there.

  10. None round here.

Stephen:I understand where you are coming from.Soldiers have a s**+tty job and have to get on with it.If the people at home feel that these brave men are putting their lives on the line for a cause which is wrong then it is encumbent on them to make a stance and with luck they can get the government to see sense and withdraw them from a situation they should not be in.It's not a protest against the troops but the powers that be who sent them in.
