ya just watched it. terrible way 4 it to end. 3 runs in the 10th all off franklin..... i dont know if i totally agree with ur title. the cards rele have to work hard to get to the playoffs this season. they're in a tough three-way race....

I hope so. But I don't like the Cardinals' chances of winning this series, so I think they're about to lose some ground. On the bright side, Carpenter allowed 0 runs on 1 hit in 4 innings with AA Springfield. The Cardinals' bullpen and bench are both extremely weak right now, so I hope they can keep it close until Wainwright and Carpenter return. Shame on John Mozeliak and Bill DeWitt if they do nothing to improve the bullpen or offense. If we're going to sellout home games with the 3rd-highest ticket prices in baseball, then this organization can make some modest moves to keep this team in the race.
