  1. Farce is not the word.It was like watching a bunch of 10 lap sprint races,it was a waste of an afternoon.

No offense to the winner or any of the other 42 cars just the lame way the tire issue was handled.

  2. Its why nascar needs to let other tire makers in, I mean come on Goodyear got run our of Indy car, got embarrassed in Formula One but nascar protects them under the idea of they make racing safer, just how safe are those ten lap tires, reminds me of Gil de Ferran in the mid 90's calling them one lap wonder tires after Firestone embarrassed Goodyear.

  3. i had the pleasure of paying $75 and sitting in the sun for 4 hours to watch that bs of a race. i will not be going back next year.im spending my nascar money at the bristol night race next year.thanks goodyear for ruining my brickyard experience. BOYCOTT GOODYEAR!

  4. It was the worst race I've ever been to. It's pretty pathetic when it feels like more than half of what you've watched are caution laps.

  5. Glad I didn't pay to see it!!!!

  6. Farce?  No.  But as JimBeam said, I'm glad I didn't pay to see it.  NASCAR could've handled it a lot better.  I caught a bit of Pemberton's post race interview and I could've swore I saw egg on his face, especially when he made the comment about NASCAR's decision to not do a tire test at Indy this year.

But, my hat's off to all the teams because they did the best they could with the cards (tires?) they were dealt.  I missed the first 40 laps of the race, but by the time I was able to start watching it, it looked like the drivers and crew chiefs had figured out how to work around the tire issue - gambling on 2- or 4- tire stops for track position, fighting for position during the green flag runs so that when the comp yellow came out they were in a good spot for pit road, etc.

I think somebody else said it, the best racing was there in the last 10 laps.

I hope France's and Pemberton's shoes tasted good.

  7. nope

  8. Na scar knew they had a problem with the tires...That's why they had 600 flown in the night before....This could of been delt with in a different way...

  9. I do not know if it was that bad but it certainly was the worst that I have had the misfortune of seeing.

  10. look yeah it sucked but Jimmie was fast and he kept getting big leads so he had the car to beat no matter what

  11. Well...it was not very FARCE-SIGHTED, on NASCARS part.

maybe if they had not cut back on testing so much, they would seen these problems coming at this track with, the new car and, all that extra roll.

  12. Not the best race of the season, by far, but a FARCE?  NO.

    Go Jr.>>>>

  13. I hated it at first, but the more it went on, the more exciting it became.

    It wasn't THAT bad.
