  1. The Apollo moon landings were absolutely real, and are confirmed by multiple independent sources. The Soviet Union, who would've LOVED to have exposed a hoax, tracked Apollo 11 and in fact had an unmanned probe scheduled to land within a day of the A11 landing to try to get some extra PR if A11 had failed (the soviet probe crashed). The flights to the moon were also tracked by stations around the world, both friendly and hostile.

Apollo 11 set up and left behind an experiment called the Laser Ranging Retro Reflector (LRRR). It's what allows us to measure the distance to the moon to within less than an inch, and it's still in use today. Previous attempts to land retroreflectors using unmanned probes were of limited use, as it required someone physically there to orient the reflector.

As for the "flag waving" claim, it's simply not true. The flags had wires to keep them extended, but they only moved when being acted upon by an astronaut. I've watched video of the *entire* Apollo 11 EVA, and the only time the flag moves is when the astronauts are touching it or the flag pole. It's steady as a rock the rest of the time.

Bear in mind that within the physics, astronomy and aerospace communities there is absolutely no question about the veracity of Apollo- not just within the US, but worldwide. Check out the link I cited below for a full deconstruction of the most common hoaxer claims, as well as a lot of interesting information about space flight in general.

  2. Of courze he did zat! It iz not fakez. FOX TV liez about zat.

  3. I have carefully analyzed some of the lunar rover videos. If it was filmed in a studio, the building would have had to be more than two miles on a side. That's just one of the *many* proofs that we actually went. In the meantime, virtually every one of the so-called "proofs" that we didn't go, is easily debunkable.  In 40 years, not one real scientist or engineer has challenged the achievement -- just three wacko, uncredentialed conspiracy theorists who don't know their a**es from an attitude thruster. And then, of course, their throngs of gullible, equally unqualified followers who believe anything they see in a documentary or read in a book as long as it's absurd and involves a conspiracy.

  4. 1. Yez it waz real

    2. Don't be ridiculouz

  5. Yez, ze did.

    HTH

  6. insane question. Don't listen to the wackos. Ofcourse we landed on the moon.

  7. I think it was a very well planned shoot. The flag was waving for crying out loud! how can that be? They just wanted to win the space race against their enemies, the Russians.

  8. Yes, it was real.

The flag "waves" only when the astronauts wiggle it.  It's perfectly still all the other times.  Try keeping a nylon flag perfectly still for two hours.  Yes, we wanted to beat the Russians to the Moon, and we did.  Why does the fact that there's a race on mean the winner had to have cheated?
